A Lomi-Lomi massage begins with the establishment of an atmosphere of humility, tranquility and benevolence between the practitioner and the patient. This technique is often called “Massage of the loving hands”, in the image of the legendary hospitality of the Hawaiians.

This technique is based on the principle that the energy circulating in the body, called “Mana”, must be harmonized. To create this harmony, the masseur infuses his movements with the qualities of the four elements of nature, earth, water, air and fire.

This massage resembles a graceful dance, imitating the back and forth of the waves. The practitioner is constantly in motion, in order to connect all the dimensions of the being and bring together all the parts of the body. The lomi lomi technique alternates between different stretching, kneading and acupressure maneuvers with the hands, forearms, fingertips and elbows.

Goals :

• Develop professional skills as a practitioner of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage.

• Knowing how to put techniques into practice sequence by sequence by methodological learning of movements and gestures in order to perform a Lomi Lomi massage adapted to French customers for a duration of 1 hour or 1 hour 30 minutes.

• Acquire and put into practice the good postures of the well-being massage practitioner.

• Learn to welcome your client with respect and conduct an interview.

Assessment methods:

• Restitution of a complete protocol of Hawaiian lomi lomi massage on outdoor models, role-playing scored out of 80 points.

• Questionnaire on the theoretical notions discussed. The whole will be marked out of 20 points.

Certification of training:

• To validate the training, the average in the test of the questionnaire and in the scenario is required.
